NO TRASH NOVEMBER 2023 Champion was an unexpected award for the HOA Litter Angels. The HOA Litter Angels, headed up by Annie LaCour, has been working to beautify Tellico Village since April 2022. They work in conjunction with TDOT and the HOA and clean up every 3 weeks. Because of the every 3 week schedule, they cleaned up the parkway and surrounding side streets twice in November of 2023 and collected 88 bags of trash, construction debris, and tires. This was the winning number for the state of Tennessee!
To date, the HOA litter angels have over 130 members and have collected over 1,350 bags of trash. They collect every 3 weeks on Saturdays and are always ready for new volunteers. It is important to contact Annie prior to showing up to help, as TDOT and the HOA have release of liability forms to sign and handouts and a video to review prior to your first clean up. Vests, gloves, bags and grabbers are provided, and it is recommended wearing long pants and boots. Come join us!
